Christmas is not freely celebrated everywhere.

Christians are being persecuted in the countries shown in dark brown on this map!
Countries shown in dark brown are where Chrsitians are being persecuted for their faith.
(Cuba not pictured, but included in these countries)
Countries shown in blue are newly liberated.

Please note: The above map is modified from one copywrited by VOM, (Voice of the Martyrs). Their map shows Turkey as a country where persecution of Christians is occurring. However, according to our source in Turkey, Murat Sezgin, there is no persecution of Christians in Turkey. He states:Every one is free through his/her faith and believes. You can not see anyone who is being persecuted because of his faith. This is the reality.. We humbly apologize that Turkey had been miscolored in the past. Please note this correction.

These are the countries where persecution is most severe:
China
Cuba
Egypt
Indonesia
Iran
Libya
Nigeria

North Korea
Pakistan
Saudi Arabia

Sudan
Uzbekistan
Vietnam

Here is what you can do for Christmas for the Christians living in the brown countries on the map above:
  1. Pray for those in prison that they would know that they are not forgotten.
    (Read Heb 13:3)
  2. Pray that the needs of families of martyrs would be met abundantly.
    (Read Eph 3:20)
  3. Pray that the grovernmental and prison officials would be drawn into a relationship with Christ.
    (Read John 6:44)
  4. Pray that Christians would love those who are persecuting them.
    (Read Matt 5:44)
  5. Pray that God would give new ways to get Bibles and other forms of help to Christians in restricted nations.
    (Read Col 4:3)
