A Message From the Principal
Our name, Central Valley Christian School, tells you three things. Central Valley tells you where we operate. School tells you what we do. And Christian tells you how we do it.
We are a high school and we take seriously God’s call to educate our students. Our desire to do that well is evident by the qualified, certified and committed professionals that comprise our faculty; by the rich offering of classes in our curriculum; by the educational preparedness of our graduates; and by the academic reputation we enjoy in the Central Valley. We maintain the rigorous standards for accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, which ensures not only high academic performance but also consistent school improvement.
But there are many schools accredited by W.A.S.C., and there are many schools that have a solid schedule of classes and professional educators on hand to teach their students. We are striving to be among the best in preparing students for all that God has called them to be, but what distinguishes us from other really good schools is in our name.
We are Christian.
We believe that Jesus is Lord of everything. We want your child to hear and understand that message whether they are in a Bible class, in a chemistry lab, reading a best-selling novel, competing in a football game, or dancing at our Junior-Senior prom. We love to come alongside Christian parents who also take seriously God’s instructions in Proverbs to “train up a child in the way he should go…”
In Philippians, Paul offers a prayer for the church he loved dearly. When your child is enrolled at CVCHS, be assured that we will pray that same prayer for them. “And this is our prayer: that their love may abound more and more in knowledge and in depth of insight, so that they may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Christ Jesus – to the glory and praise of God.”
We believe that through exploring His word and His world, we come to know God better. By knowing God better, we will love him more. What an incredible journey we are on together!
