The Substitute Bus Driver supports the daily and occasional transportation needs of the campus by safely operating a school bus, maintaining order and professionalism while students are onboard, and following all California DMV, CHP, and school transportation requirements. This role works under the guidance of the Transportation Director and must demonstrate a consistently Christ-like demeanor marked by patience, responsibility, and respect. This position is scheduled on a part-time, on-call basis, with hours varying based on coverage needs, field trips, and special events.
Understanding the Application Process:
- Step One: Interested applicants should fully review the job posting and school values (Articles I - IV of the CVCS Constitution) to confirm they meet the necessary requirements before applying. Qualified applicants should submit an online application, with an attached cover letter and resume. All applicants will be reviewed by Human Resources (HR).
- Step Two: Applicants selected to move forward will be contacted by HR to provide a completed Pastoral Questionnaire and letters of recommendation.
- Step Three: Candidate interviews will be scheduled with the hiring supervisor, HR, and all other necessary parties.
- Step Four: Reference checks will be completed. Final determinations regarding additional hiring steps and candidate selection will be made.
