Central Valley Christian Schools has a rich history rooted in a passion for Christian education. It all began in 1944 when a dedicated group of individuals formed the Central Valley Christian School Society and established Hanford Christian School. The creation of Hanford Christian marked the beginning of a legacy committed to nurturing young minds in a faith-based environment.

As the community grew, so did the need for more educational facilities. In 1979, the Society responded by launching a second elementary campus in Visalia, initially housed in the First Christian Reformed Church of Visalia. This expansion, a testament to the growing demand for quality Christian education in the area, is a source of pride for our community.

The Society's vision continued to flourish, leading to the acquisition of 25 acres of land from the City of Visalia in 1982. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a new chapter with the addition of a high school. The first class of high school students graduated in 1986, celebrating a significant milestone in CVC's history.

In 1994, the Hanford and Central Valley Christian campuses, under the same school board and superintendent, amicably decided to become two separate schools. This friendly split allowed each school to focus on its unique community and needs.

The early 2000s saw further development with the construction of new facilities. In 2003, classroom and science lab buildings were built, enhancing the learning environment for students. Three years later, in 2006, the chapel building was completed, providing a dedicated space for worship and spiritual growth.

In 2023, Central Valley Christian Schools proudly unveiled the new Agriculture and Arts (ASA) building. This state-of-the-art facility underscores CVC's commitment to offering diverse and comprehensive educational opportunities. This modern building features advanced classrooms, laboratories, and creative spaces designed to support agricultural studies and the arts, enabling students to explore and develop their talents in these fields.
