Introduction to Agri-science will develop knowledge and skills that provide a foundation for understanding the industry of agriculture in a global society. The course will provide knowledge and skills in the areas of animal science, plant and soil science, ornamental horticulture, forestry, and natural resources, agricultural business management, and agri-science. 

Agricultural Biology courses apply biological principles and understanding to plant and animal science in order to produce or refine agricultural products. Course topics typically include but are not limited to microbiology, genetics, growth and reproduction, the structural basis of function in living systems, the chemistry of living systems, quantitative problem-solving, and data acquisition and display.

This year-long course is designed for college-bound students with an interest in agriculture.  The lab-based course is designed for the students to analyze elements of life science, earth science, and physical science with agricultural applications.  Students will be able to evaluate the interconnectedness of all levels of science in agriculture.  

This year-long Ag./F.F.A. course includes the following: Floral Design will introduce basic floral skills to students and they will be designing 2-D and 3-D floral arrangements. Students are introduced to the elements and principles of visual art design such as line, shape/form, color, balance, and emphasis using a series of floral-based projects to explore the connections, relations, and applications of visual arts design.

In this year-long course, the student will develop welding skills in SMAW, GMAW, and Oxy-Fuel. Along with additional shop safety and communication skills. Introduction to woodworking skills, along with basic electricity. With the introduction of CDE teams relevant to the class.

This year-long course will build on skills learned in Intro to Ag. Mech. by
incorporating welding skills with ability to read and draw basic plans to build items, with metal. TIG welding will be introduced to students. While giving students the opportunity to be involved in FFA.

This year-long course will build on skills learned in Intro to Ag. Mechanics with emphasis on woodworking and finishing. This course provides students with an opportunity to be involved in FFA.

This year-long course will build on skills learned in Ag. Mechanics 3. Students will be encouraged to challenge themselves with more complex projects, causing higher thought and more involved planning. This course provides students with an opportunity to be involved in FFA.

In this course, we will discuss and investigate the true cost of doing business. This will include how to calculate what an hourly employee really costs the business owner. Calculating turns of inventory and figuring profit margins. We will discuss how various industries are related and can affect your business. The importance of sound record-keeping and financial management.

This class is designed to discuss leadership and careers. We will look at the skills necessary to be a leader, how to work as a team, manage people, and many career-related things as well. Topics will include team-building exercises, personality profiles, career interest profiling, parliamentary procedure, and specific leadership qualities, with
others to be developed from student interest. This class will be highly project-oriented and will include writing assignments, team and individual projects, and journals. FFA Banquet, Meetings, and other FFA Events will be an integral part of the course.
