SCRIP Program Basics
At CVC, our SCRIP program allows families and friends to purchase retail gift cards at face value from nearly 80 national retailers where you already shop. CVC buys these gift cards at up to 10% less than face value, depending on the retailer. The difference between the face value and the purchase price is shared between CVC and the scrip buyer, providing you with up to a 3% tuition rebate on your SCRIP purchases. Here's an example
Mrs. Smith decides to buy a $100 Downtown Visalia gift card through CVC’s Scrip office. By doing so, she earns $3 because Downtown Visalia gift cards are available to Scrip at 3% less than face value. This $3 is split equally, with $1.50 going to CVC and $1.50 to Mrs. Smith as a tuition rebate. She repeats this process when purchasing cleaning supplies at Target, earning $1.75 for herself and $1.75 for the school by using a $100 Target gift card she purchased through SCRIP.
